How It Is Done

AdvantaClean endorses the rigorous duct cleaning protocol established by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA).

This requires using a “push/pull” technique with high-powered equipment. We attach a negative air machine to your air handler to create negative air pressure throughout the entire duct work. We then cover all of the vents in the building to create a greater negative air pressure. We then uncover the vent that we are going to clean at that particular time and insert an agitator, known as an air whip or viper.

This high pressure blower circulates in the duct work, causing all of that dirt and debris inside to become airborne. Once airborne, our negative air machine is able to clean everything out. This process is performed down each supply trunk line and each return trunk line separately. We also vacuum out the air handler. If there is suspicion of microbial growth (mold, mildew), AdvantaClean can fog your system with an antimicrobial agent.
