How It Is Done

AdvantaClean uses the rigorous air duct cleaning protocol established by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) and follows their recommended push/pull method.

Specifically:

  • We create a vacuum-like suction within your duct system by attaching a negative air machine to your air handler (also known as putting your duct system under negative pressure).
  • Each of your vents and returns are covered with plastic to create even greater negative air pressure and to ensure that any dust or debris agitated during the process is contained.
  • A high pressured air whip is extended down each branch line where it agitates dust and debris, and pushes it into the main trunk line where it is pulled out by the negative air machine.

This video by the National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA) outlines the proper air duct cleaning procedures.
