Residential Mold Removal

Mold removal (also known as mold remediation), is the process of removing and treating building surfaces and materials that have been contaminated by mold growth. The methods used for mold removal will vary, depending on the type of material affected and the specific conditions of the property.

A customized mold removal protocol (which is a very specialized and detailed plan) will be followed to properly remove and treat the contaminated areas and the work area will be contained in order to control and limit the spread of mold or other contaminants into surrounding areas.

HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) vacuums are used for final cleanup of remediation areas after materials have been thoroughly dried and contaminated materials removed. HEPA vacuums have specialized filters that will capture tiny mold particles that would pass right through a normal vacuum filter. HEPA vacuums are also used for cleanup of dust that may have settled on surfaces outside the remediation area.
