Luckily, it looks like Hurricane Katia is going to remain offshore of the U.S. East Coast, but now we have to watch out for Tropical Storm Lee.
The National Weather Channel predicts that over the next several days, Lee will produce three to six inches of rain ranging from northern Virginia to Upstate New York. State College, Pennsylvania is expected to receive as much as 10 inches on Thursday, and flood watches are in effect for the Appalachians.
Help keep your home protected from Tropical Storm Lee by investing in metal shutters or ¾" plywood to protect your windows and sliding glass doors. You may also want to consider removing weak and/or dead trees and limbs from your property.
